The position:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning new installations, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections and providing training. The long-term relationship with our customers is our top priority. In this position, you are the company's ambassador. Thanks to your all-round technical experience, you are able to help customers quickly and efficiently with problems. You don't give up until the job is done to the customer's satisfaction. You are also able to explain our machines and systems in an inspiring and clear way.

You will report to a manager and work closely with various departments. In this position, you will travel both nationally and internationally. We are looking for someone who lives in northern France (towards the Belgian border) - West Flanders - Zealand (towards the Belgian border).

Your tasks:

• Conducting on-site service visits to customers for installation, commissioning, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training
• Effectively communicate and report to efficiently resolve customer issues
• Provide technical support to customers via phone and email, including technical support outside office hours and on weekends according to a fixed schedule
• Document all service activities in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in cross-training and cross-functional teams with other Duravant companies
• Comply with industry, company and customer safe working practices.

To be successful as a Field Service Engineer, you will have the following education, experience and attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in welding, metalworking electromechanics or similar (through experience)
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components
• Good knowledge of welding (MIG/MAG/TIG), mechanical techniques such as drilling, grinding and bearing replacement
• Practical experience with forklift and aerial work platform (and possession of certification) is a plus
• Complex technical information on mechanics and electronics, including reading circuit diagrams
• You must hold a valid driving licence, passport and be able to travel/work within the EU
• Experience and ability to travel extensively, up to 70%, including overnight stays if needed and some weekends away from home. Occasional international travel may be required
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
• You are self-motivated, professional, energetic, positive and disciplined to perform under work pressure.
