The position
As a credit control officer, you manage the accounts receivable portfolio and ensure that outstanding invoices are closely monitored. You actively maintain contact with customers regarding payments and ensure that receivables are collected on time.
Thanks to your keen eye for detail and customer-focused approach, you will contribute directly to a healthy cash flow and a stable financial basis for our company. In this role, you will combine financial precision with strong communication skills — indispensable for our success.
The team consists of a Financial Director and 10 colleagues, each with their own area of expertise.
Your tasks
- Managing accounts receivable and ensuring complete and accurate invoicing;
- Checking outstanding invoices and following up on payment reminders in a timely manner;
- Communicating with customers by telephone and email to make payment arrangements and answer questions;
- Preparing reports on accounts receivable and payment statuses;
- Contributing to the improvement of collection procedures and the optimization of accounts receivable management processes;
- Monitoring credit limits and performing credit assessments of customers;
- Collaborating with other departments, such as the Sales department, to resolve disputes or questions from customers;
- Contributing ideas for improvement proposals and/or participating in improvement projects;
To perform your duties effectively, we are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- You have excellent communication skills and know how to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner;
- You are organized, work accurately and have an eye for detail;
- You can work independently and accurately;
- You think in terms of solutions, remain calm under pressure and switch effortlessly between different tasks.
Do you have the following qualifications and skills?
- Completed MBO education in a financial field
- At least 5-10 years of experience in accounts receivable management or a similar position in a commercial organization
- Experience in processing invoices in an ERP system and making payments is required;
- Knowledge of Dutch and English is required;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is an advantage;
