Key Technology BV is the manufacturer of optical inspection, transport and sorting machines for the food industry. We also say; If Key can't do it, nobody can! Our goal is to be the ultimate partner in the food processing industry.

We serve customers throughout the EMEA/ASIA market (Europe/Middle East/Africa and Asia). Key Technology BV is based in Beusichem (NL) and has sister companies in Hasselt (BE) and Walla Walla (USA), all part of the Duravant Group.

The role

In this position, you have both technical and commercial responsibilities and work closely with the Area Sales Managers. You are excellent at translating your technical knowledge of mechanical engineering to both internal and external customers. You function as a spider in the web between different internal departments. You understand the customer's needs and answer their questions with tailor-made advice.

With your good communication skills and your customer-oriented and solution-oriented approach, you can manage all expectations together with the Area Sales Manager so that the quotation can be converted into an order to everyone's satisfaction. Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will be given room to further develop your commercial skills in addition to the technical side of the business.

Your tasks

• Translating the needs of existing and potential customers into technical solutions
• Drawing up technical descriptions and possibly drawings of machines and systems for making calculations and offers
• Taking care of optimal order processing

To be able to perform your tasks well, we are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

• You have good communication skills and are customer-oriented
• You are able to translate relevant information to the internal and external customer. You have a solution-oriented approach
• You are result-oriented and motivated to achieve departmental and business objectives together with the team
• You have an eye for detail and an analytical mind
• You are creative and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
• You are willing to travel for customer site work (EMEA area)

Do you have the following qualifications and skills:

• Completed HTS education or MTS with at least 3-5 years of work experience
• Affinity and/or experience with a technical work environment

Furthermore, you have knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office package, in particular Word, Excel and Teams
• 3D drawing package, Solid Works is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English in word and writing is a requirement for this position; a third language is a bonus
• Knowledge of machinery, such as vibratory and belt conveyor systems and/or optical inspection equipment is a plus

• A salary indication is € 3,500 to € 4,750, depending on education and experience
• After an induction period and employment of at least 6 months, there are opportunities to work from home where we provide a functional home office
• A working week of 32 to 39 hours
• 25 holiday days and with full-time employment, you will also accrue 6.5 days ADV which (like your holiday days) you can plan yourself
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre
• 13.7% holiday pay instead of the usual 8%
• Key Technology falls under the collective labour agreement for metalworking companies and is therefore affiliated to the Metaal en Techniek pension fund
• For every new employee we take on, we donate an amount to charity
