The Position
As a Senior Project Manager, you execute projects from the project definition phase through to commercial completion, installation, and commissioning. You work closely with customers, colleagues, and partners to ensure a successful project definition and project execution. In this role, you are responsible for coordinating the project, ensuring proper communication, and resolving issues from the start through to the customer’s full acceptance.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, execution, and the project budget to meet customer goals, needs, and expectations.
- Communicates costs, pricing, margins, schedules, and other relevant project information accurately within the organization.
- Reviews and coordinates project team activities and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
- Develops/modifies process line layouts.
- Prepares project budgets, timelines, and provides customers with performance and scheduling estimates.
- Manages project costs throughout the entire process and communicates changes to the customer in a timely manner.
- Leads project meetings with customers, key personnel, subcontractors, and others as required.
- Develops process flow diagrams and publishes project status reports.
- Leads factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Performs (partial) supervision during installation on-site.
To be successful as a Project Manager, you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Design).
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food processing industry.
- Understanding of Project Management principles.
- Strong command of Dutch and English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong communication skills, intercultural understanding, and interpersonal skills.
- A results-driven and solution-oriented mindset, and you enjoy working within a team of dedicated professionals.
- Willingness to travel regularly within EMEA and Asia.
