The position:

The Applications Engineer is responsible for setting up, optimizing and demonstrating product testing on all of our equipment. You will work with the sales team to promote our equipment and be responsible for proposing the best solution. The Applications Engineer is involved in projects from start to finish and ensures that the application part of a project is correct. For this, you are able to perform an overall check on specs and performance; you report and document all your findings and you will be required to perform performance tests both on site and internally.

 

With your technical knowledge, you will advise other departments on the finer points of the applications. With your creative and innovative ideas, you will find or optimize the best solution for the customer and are able to organize training on these specialized application improvements for the customer.

 

Your tasks:

  • Overall control of projects related to the applications.
  • Organize and perform project related testing.
  • Applications and performance testing for information gathering and/or troubleshooting.
  • Support and advise R&D projects, especially on-site testing at customer sites.
  • Writing well-reasoned application reports for external and internal use.
  • Provide technical support regarding application or specification changes.
  • Specialized customer/application enhancements and training for difficult setup/operation procedures and maintenance.

 

To be successful as a Applicatons Engineer, you will have the following education, experience and attributes:

  • You have good communication skills and are very customer-oriented.
  • You are determined, precise, creative and innovative.
  • You are good at solving problems and can do this both as part of a team and completely independently.
  • Completed Master or Bachelor Academic or equivalent level of expertise of + 6 years, electrical engineering, mechanics, bioengineering and/or optics.
  • Knowledge of vibration and sorting technology is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English in word and writing. Preferably basic knowledge of German, French or another language.
  • Ability to read, analyze and maintain general company charts, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
